A Bit About Me

My sculptural work explores the themes of lightness, humor, and nostalgia, offering viewers a joyful escape from daily life. Each piece is crafted to inspire wonder and happiness, encouraging a reconnection with simple, often overlooked pleasures.

With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Communications from the University of Houston and two decades as an Emmy Award-winning broadcast designer, I bring a strong foundation in storytelling and visual impact to my art. This background informs my approach to sculptural ceramics, which I am currently pursuing at the Glassell School of Art, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. My ongoing studies allow me to experiment with new forms and techniques, continually expanding my creative practice.

As a kindergarten teacher, I draw inspiration from the creativity and curiosity of young children, which fuels my belief that art should uplift and delight. My portfolio invites viewers into a space where nostalgia and playfulness coexist, offering a momentary escape into a brighter perspective.
